Night Safari Expects More Visitors from Royal Flora
30 November 2006,
Chiang Mai Night Safari hopes the next-door extravaganza flora exposition to draw more visitors to its site.
The 92-day horticulture exposition will surely give a boost to the sales of Night Safari tickets. It should draw up to 4000 visitors to the site and generate a minimum income of B35 million during the 3 months exposition”, anticipates the project’s director, Uppatham Pawaputanont.
The Night Safari has also launched its new resort offering five private houses for the whole family to stay to attract more visitors. The resort sits within the Night Safari area.
“The Night Safari also offers spacious parking for all visitors”, said the project’s administrative expert, Sa-nga Auetrakul. However, the Night Safari’s promotion of its spacious parking might raise a conflict against the formerly-announced traffic regulations of the Royal Flora working group which will prohibit all personal vehicles from entering and passing the Ratchaphruek street, which is an entrance street for both places.
Its management team claimed that the Chiang Mai Night Safari, which has been opened less than a year as the largest of its kind in the world, has welcomed an average range of 400-2000 visitors a day. Since February 2006, the zoo, which opens in both daytime and nighttime, has earned approximately 30 million baht from its ticket sales.
